THE MASTERS
At ReSound, sound is more than what we hear— it’s how we connect, create, and innovate. The programme delves into sound’s multifaceted presence in our lives: from the stage to performance art, from film to virtual reality, and from natural landscapes to urban soundscapes. It challenges students to rethink their engagement with the world, shaping artists and researchers who drive forward the evolution of sound across dynamic fields.
The Consortium
IADT is Ireland’s campus for the creative industries and a founding member of the European University for film and media arts, FilmEU. It is entering into a period of development and change, in the context of wider transformation of higher education in Ireland, the rapid development of European Universities, and strong support for the economic and cultural significance of the creative industries, particularly digital creative industries. It is Ireland’s only institute of art, design and technology with a specific focus on the creative cultural and technological sectors. Programmes in both the Faculty of Film, Art + Creative Technologies and the Faculty of Enterprise + Humanities are unique in that they combine practical, transferrable skills with academic learning. Because we believe in being active in research and practice, our students get to work with fantastic staff, many of whom are internationally acclaimed in their fields.
The Film and Media Arts Department at Lusófona University was established in 1996 as part of the Communication, Architecture, Arts, and Information Technologies School. Its mission is to promote excellence in training and research across communication and the arts, with a particular focus on film and emerging digital media. The department is dedicated to providing hands-on, specialized skill development, fostering both individual and collaborative creativity, and serving as a testing ground for innovative film and media technologies. With a commitment to lifelong learning, the department offers a comprehensive range of programs spanning initial, continuous, and advanced training in animation, film, and media creation. It is actively involved in research projects at both national and international levels, collaborating with organizations and partners supported by national and European funding. Its artistic research agenda further strengthens its global impact.
The Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA) is an internationally recognised higher education institution which trains artists for a professional career in music, theatre, dance and film and offers related theoretical studies. Founded in 1933, the Academy currently hosts about 1,000 students in three study cycles – Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral – in its three faculties, two of which are based in Vilnius, one in Klaipėda. The LMTA offers tuition by Lithuania’s leading practitioners in a performance-based and creative environment. We are based in Vilnius, an increasingly popular capital city with several symphony orchestras, an opera and ballet theatre, drama and dance theatres, and traditional and modern art centres, as well as in Klaipėda, a port city with a music theatre, a drama theatre, a thriving jazz festival and an ‘open culture factory’. A rich and varied cultural life and visiting international artists who often give masterclasses and workshops for LMTA students add extra value that makes our studies more attractive.
